How long will your trip take (in hours) if you travel 350 km at an average speed of 80 kmhr? What is the formula with givens: Time, Distance, Speed...

The formula for an
average speed is a distance travelled divided by a time spent,

$\displaystyle{V}=\frac{{d}}{{t}}.$

In our problem the average speed $\displaystyle{V}$
and the distance $\displaystyle{d}$ are given, and we are looking for the time $\displaystyle{t}.$ It is simple to find
it:

$\displaystyle{t}=\frac{{d}}{{V}}.$

In numbers it is $\displaystyle\frac{{{350}{k}{m}}}{{{80}\frac{{{k}{m}}}{{h}}}}=$
4.375 hours, or 4 hours and 22.5
minutes.
